Homework

Remember? If your child has forgotten to bring homework home, they  can come into the school until 3:30. There is also Homework Club for extra help and finishing overdue work every day at lunchtime. Establishing good homework habits at this age is crucial!

Language Arts Your child should read for 45 minutes every night and then discuss what they have read to show understanding.

Spelling practice lists will come home every Monday morning, and are due back on Friday. We are also going to have a class spelling Bee in May. Students can be practicing from their word list at home every night. There are extra words to practice in the student planners.

Math Facts should be practiced regularly, especially multiplication and division facts to the twelve times tables – at this age the answers to all facts should be fast and accurate.  Math homework will be sent home every Wednesday.

Social Studies & Science It is important to make sure that all research and projects are completed on time and to the best of your ability.
